ABOUT/BIO (source: www.waleska.co.uk)
Waleska Nomura is an artist from Sao Paulo, Brazil and currently lives in England.
A completely self taught artist, she started her art career painting traditional graffiti letters on the streets of Sao Paulo and later moved from the streets onto canvas, painting mainly figurative works to begin with. As her work developed so did her use of experimenting with different materials and mediums. Heavy acrylic paint combines with collage and found objects to create her own unique mix and style. Her more recent works have taken on a new three dimensional appearance as modeling clay is added to her list of mediums.
In 2004 she started a project titled “Spreading the Love and Positive Energy to the World” in which she uses her art to spread this message.
